Her very first step into the Vivian Bowers murder mystery case was with the very person she didn’t suspect was the actual killer, ironic, isn’t it? It’s also ironic that season 1 ended with Joanna and Robert.

Back in the beginning…
Their first true alone time.
Joanna comes back to the house at 1:30 in the morning after making one of her numerous phone calls to Will. She comes upon Julian, who’d heard a noise and has come to investigate. Jo tells him that its her ex who called and she wanted a quiet place to talk to him, but she’d locked herself out. Julian agrees let her in or better yet share a bottle of wine on the dock and she agrees.
Apparently as teens they spent plenty of moments down on that dock as evidenced by the last 2 tiles.
